As the parent discards the empty shell, we get our first clear look at the newborn.  That's the head at the top, beak pointed away from the camera, and two huge eyes.  Looks sort of like a bug.

The parent returns, and all is quiet for a few minutes.  This might be a feeding, but you can't really tell.

Soon, both parents are on the scene.  Remember, during the incubation period, they always used to switch places around this time.  Coincidence?

Sharing the work of childbirth.  Human mothers, eat your hearts out.

The baby bird gets fed.  There was a lot of this over the next half hour.
